Awareness campaign against growing noise pollution

Resource Center for Primary Health Cere (RECPHEC) organised a public rally against noise pollution in the cappital on November 22 . The relly was aimed at creating awareness among motorists about the health hazards of pressure hurns and musical horns .
RECPHEC had mobilised around 150 Kathmandu collage students as volenteers. Anusuya Joshi programe officer RECPHEC informed that the relly "Combating Noise Pollution " was organised from Shanti Batika to sundhara stretch, one of the most vulnerable to hurn hunking.
During the week -long campaign , the volunteers distributed 1,100 leaflet to the motorists and managed to paste 8,000 stickers in computer vehicles. "The campaign was lunched in responce to public outrage at the traumatic noise pollution in the valley" Noise pollution in the valley prompted by unfetered use of pressure horns has reached its pinnacle.
